TGIF!!!!!!!

Well it is finally over and I can get down to doing what I love to do. That is scrap!!! It was a very busy day today. Up at 6am, get DH out the door, get ready for work, wake up little one and get her ready for school. This all by 7:15am. Then, get on line and order the new 123 Stamp video by Above Rubies. Love her videos, she makes things clear and simple. Then out the door at 7:35am, drop little one off at school and run to work. Well that was fine, but then got home at 3:45 and rushed to get into some grubby clothes so I could mow the lawn before it started to rain. My yard had not been mowed in over 3 weeks and I was waiting for the neighbors to start leaving messages on my door about how bad it looked. lol Well that took me an hour, cause I did the back yard as well. So now at 5pm I am so tired that I want to just drop, so get into the shower, get dressed, blow dry my hair and then run to pick up my little one at the after school program by 6:30pm. Made it bearly, but hey I did it. Came home and got her into the shower, and started dinner, fed the dog, started a load of laundry and cleaned up the kitchen counter of all the mess that was on the counter from the last week of mail and garbage that my family leave there. Well finally DH gets home and I just finished dinner, so it was good he was late. We ate dinner, watched the last night of the Novella that DH and I have been watching for months now, it was 2 hours tonight. Oh, a Novella is a spanish Soap Opera, it just doesn't go on more than 6 months to max a year. By the way, didn't like the ending. LOL So I figured I had better post something today before hitting the hay.

Sorry about the soap box of my day, but tomorrow it is a scrappin I will be doing. YEAH!!!! Got a blog hop to get ready for next weekend.

Oh, on a good note my friend Monique is doing great and will be getting out of the hospital tomorrow. So glad!!! She will be recooping for awhile then start the radiation and drugs that she will be put on. So please keep her in your prayers.

Good night all and God Bless you all.

A thought for a friend

I have not written anything about a friend of mine who has Breast Cancer, well today I am going to. Today she went into surgery for a Double Mestectomy. She has been in my thoughts and prayers for months now, and it has been a battle for her. I went to church this morning and lite a candle as a prayer to help her through this procedure. Finally at 11:09am I got the call that she was out of surgery and all went well. I was so releived that I felt as if I had been holding my breath for hours. I got home around noon today and started working on finishing my daughters Halloween treats for her class party tomorrow (I am finally done with all of therm). Around 2pm I got the message they were getting her ready to be placed in a room. I am going to go to the hospital here around 6:30pm to see her, just for a quick minute. I know she will be exhausted and there will be lots of family and friends there. I just wanted to let her know that I was thinking of her and bring her a little Halloweenie treat (one of the extras I made for my daughter). I ended up not liking the card I made and will remake and mail it to her on Monday. So on the back of the treat I wrote:

"I might not look that scary to you, but today I kicked some TA TA's butt. I might wear pink and fight like a girl, but that doesn't mean that I'm not strong."

I signed it: Faith, "Courage, Strength with Hope and Love"

I know it sounds corney as all get out, but with everything I have watched and heard her go through, it is what I feel about her. She is a very special and lovely lady who has a heart of gold. I pray that all of this will soon be a distant memory and that her family and her will be able to move on without any other interuptions of this magnitude.

I know that many of you know who I am speaking of and have had her in your prayers lately, but for those of you who do not know her, this wonderful lady is Monique Griffith from Rocklin, CA. Please keep her and her family in your prayers as I have and will continue to do.

God Bless each of you and your families.

Halloween Treats

I made these little treats for my daughters class. I am only 13 done and need a total of 33. I spent half the day looking for Orange foam and couldn't find enough. Thank goodness for Michaels sale on Halloween stuff. I found Orange Glittered Foam Pumpkins on sale for $1.49 for a package of 6 glittered and 6 plain. So there was my front base and my back. YIPE!!!!

Well got home at 1pm and had to make a pattern for the Jack-o-Lantern face that I needed for each of these 33 pumpkins. While tracing and cutting out 33 of these little darlings I had to cut 120 boots and 120 mittens, so my treat would have hands and feet. LOL Well I only got 13 of them glued together, but it is alot more difficult than I had figured. So here are my little treats:

These are Sour Punch Twist candies that I found at my local grocery store.

There is a piece of Bright Yellow Card Stock in between the two foam pieces.

Oh, each of them has a front and a back, so there is a boot and hand back to each of these.

The back of these Jack-O-Lantern Treats is just an orange foam pumpkin with no face. Tomorrow night my little one will be writing Happy Halloween and her name on the back of each one with a Sharpie marker.

Hope you like. I did see that someone else did something similar on another site, but didn't get the name of who it was. I wish I had paid more attention, cause when I tried to make these with Card Stock they kept falling apart. So this is why I had to have the foam. I didn't want to cut 33 Jack-O-Lanterns out of Cardstock then again out of Cardboard, cause I would have to do it times 2 and line them up and that is way more work than the foam was. LOL I know a little bit lazy.

Well hope you all have a great day tomorrow and will try to post something. It will most likely be about my vacation as I still have not finished going through all the thousand of pics I took. Thank goodness for digital or I would be in tons of trouble. LOL

Have a great night.

A Day with the Dolphins in Cancun

For my little ones 10th Birthday we took her to swim with the Dolphins. Here are some pictures before we had are time with the Dolphins.

Here are the pics from when we finally got to play with the Dolphins.

This is Tara getting a very special kiss from Lucas who is a 1 1/2 year old Dolphin who was so precious.

I got to shake fins with Lucas who was winking at me the whole time. It was so cute.

This was Tara's favorite. She got to give Lucas a big hug and a very special kiss.

Well, that is all for the night. I am still really tired from coming back from vacation and getting back to work. So until tomorrow, goodnight and God Bless.

Cancun Mexico Vacation

Well after waking up noon, it took me till now to get all 8,000 pictures uploaded. Well here are some of the photo's from our trip.

These 1st pictures are from the balcony of our room at the Gran Melia Cancun. The hotel was so beautiful and the staff was just fantastic. I was treated better here than even on the cruise I took last year.

These are pics of the Sea Turtle nest that were collected and reburied till they were ready to hatch. The the others are of the eggs being collected right before they hatched. One of the eggs did hatch and Tara got to hold it and we got a picture of a baby not even 5 minutes old. Every night between 8pm and 9pm they would bring the babies down to the beach and let anyone that was there help release them into the ocean. Tara must have released at least 50 to 100 during our stay at the hotel. We were not allowed to take pictures of the Sea Turtles when releasing due to them being distracted by the lights and not going to the water. I think out of everything Tara did, this is the one thing she will never forget as long as she lives. I also will never forget this experience as it is one of the best I have ever had that I can remember.

More to come, but this is the start.

God Bless you all and hope you all had a fantastic weekend.

I am so tired at this time I could go to sleep right this minute, but I need to answers the last 4 days of emails. The rain on my skylight is making me even more tired. I love the rain when it is night time, it is very calming and relaxes me to sleep.

I am off tomorrow and Monday. YIPPE!!! So I will be scrappin, blogging, loading vacation pics, and trying to relax after a very busy 1st week back from vacation. So I will be checking all of the people on my blog check list and saying hi as well as giving you all a peak at beautiful Cancun, Mexico.

Well goodnight for now and God Bless you all.

Too Busy Too Even Think

Ok, got back early Sunday morning and slept most of the day and night. Today I have been unpacking, cleaning and fixing. Man, I cleaned my house really good before I left, but come home and one day later it looks like I never cleaned it. Well it is 3/4 clean now. I still have alittle left to do, but all 10 loads of laundry are washed, dried, folded and put away. The floors have been vaccumed, swept and mopped. The dishes from Sunday and today have been washed, dried and put away. Beds were made, suite cases put away, and all the misc. items have been returned to there right places.

I have a drawing to make from the blog hop, but my drawer of the number fell asleep early tonight. LOL Besides what was mentioned in the post as the prize, I have added 5 Cropic Sketch Markers to the pot.

My poor little girl is beat. Cancun was like having Christmas surprizes everyday for her. The swimming with the Dolphins, the trips to Market 28, La Isla, Chinchen Itza, Xcaret, and Wet & Wild were way to much for her. She did attend school today and came home and finished her homework. She almost fell asleep eating her dinner. She took her shower and within 30 minutes after she was out like a light.

I have tons of pictures that I have yet to get to, due to cleaning the house. But my hope is tomorrow after finishing the 1/4 of the house cleaning I need to do that I will be able to get through at least some of them.

Well, I promise a drawing tomorrow night. I will make sure she draws before taking her shower. I would do it, but she asked me if she could and I promised her that she would draw the winner. I will also post a pic of the winnings tomorrow as well.

God bless you all and will post on the morrow.

Back from Vacation

Hi everyone,

I am finally home, wish I was still in Cancun, MX. I am exhausted, and just crawled out of my bed. I know pretty sad, but still on Mexico time.

Cancun is just plain  Beautiful!!! The people at the Gran Melia where I stayed were absolutly the best possible. I was treated better than I was when on the Cruise I took last year. The service you get is first class and make you feel like Royality. You must do the all inclusive. I got room service and it was included, drank Pina Coladas and Margeritas on the beach at the pool, anywhere. It was fantastic.

The Gran Melia also has a program where they collect the Sea Turtle eggs from June through the Middle of September. Then because we were there when the eggs were hatching, we were able to release them into the Ocean. I don't have picks of the release, due to them not allowing camera's, as it distracts and disorientates the baby turtles. They release the babies at night so the birds will not kill them. It was really an excellent experience. One that my daughter, husband, and myself will never forget for the rest of our lives.

Well, got 8 loads of laundry to wash and tons of stuff to go through. So I will get back tomorrow and pick a winner.

Thank you everyone for all your wonderful comments. Have a great evening.

Table Center Pieces

Ok, the swarm center pieces looked great. I was really happy with them even though there where only 55, but it was a front and a back, making it 110. Then had to make away to have them stand. Well that is old news and I got it finished at 8pm the night before the swarm. LOL Talk about finishing in the nick of time.

Here are some pics:

This is the front of all 55 of the center pieces.

This is the back of the center pieces.

Here is a side view I was barely able to fit them all on the table.

I know I have been MIA

Well after having to make 55 center pieces which I will post pics later, then getting the flu after get the flu shot, then there was the Breast Cancer Cure Swarm, then to San Francisco to make sure DS had food and was doing ok, and trying to work full time, pack for my vacation, plus make something for the Blog Hop this coming weekend. Gesh!!!! I have been swamped. LOL

Well I am caught up with work, finished my 2 page LO for the Halloween Blog Hop this weekend, packed everything for my vacation, well except the things that will be packed that day. So I am back to posting agian, with the hopes that even from Vacation I will be able to keep updating my blog.

Well will post later tonight the pics of the rest of those center pieces.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous day.
