Guest Designer Today

Hi all,

Happy Valentines Day and wishing you a bright and beautiful time with you loved one. I just wanted to let you all know that I am Guest Designer today on One by One the Flamingo's are Stealing My Sanity. So hop on over and see my Birthday Card I created and comment to win some Blog Candy. Don't forget everyday this month is a day for blog candy giveaways, so you should hop over there everyday for your chance to win.

Also,

I finally finished my daughters class Valentines plus her teacher cards. I had to do 40 of them and 4 teacher cards and 1 hubby card. Well the worst was they were originally done Friday, but one of my fur babies decided they were for him and proceeded to destroy the whole bag of the treats and the 4 cards that I had made for her class. So I had to do something really quick. So I cut out everything for the 40 treats and the 5 cards that I needed to make. Well to let you know the electricity went out last night so I was not able to finish them. So up at 4am this morning to finish these treats and cards. The good thing is I did get them done by 8am so in plenty of time to get my little one to school without being late or without coming home and going back to the school later.

These are not what I had planned to have as treats, but in a crunch this is what I came up with thanks to Made by Momo:

This has a heart shaped lollipop inside with "Be Mine" on it in white.
The sizes and cuts are at the end of this post.

This is the card that I made for the Teachers and my Hubby and this is what I scraplifted from Made by Momo:

Groovy Times - Heart - 1 1/2"

Pattern Paper Cuts for Treats:

Bottom Flap - 3 1/4" x 1 1/4"
Top Flap - 1 1/4" x 2"

Black Card Stock Cuts for Treats:

Treat Base - 11 1/2" x 2"
Scored at 5", 5 1/4", and 10 1/4"

Treat:

Charms - Valentine Pops - Cherry Hearts

Glues:

Scotch - Quick-Dry Adhesive
AGT 714 - 1/4" tape

Treat Bag: Fold at scored area's, then add your pattern paper. Make sure everything is lined up so all 3 folded pieced are tight and punch 2 holes, using your Crop-A-Dial,about 1/4" apart and in the middle of the top of the treat holder. These holes are for holding the lollipop in place with Twine/Hemp or Ribbon. Take one lollipop heart and run a little bit of ATG on the back. Press lollipop heart inside of treat holder. Fold up bottom flap, then top flap. Line up your holes and thread your Hemp/Twine/Ribbon through all 3 pieces you punched your holes through. Then thread through other hole and catching all three pieces. Then make a bow with your Hemp/Twine/Ribbon. After assembling your Panda and placing the heart in the middle of his hands, run 3 lines of ATG tape down the center and attach to the bottom of your treat holder.

Card: Using the Design Studio use the Accnt31s (the shifted image on page 31) at 5 3/4 and weld 2 of them together only at 2 of the petals leaving a small diamond shape in the center of the part that is welding. Cut this out along with all the other pieces (the heart can be replaced with the Shifted Heart on page 36 of Accent Essentials Cart. I just liked the one on Groovy Times better.). Take the Card base and Score through the welded part to make the card. Attach the Circle to the Card Base in the center. Attached assembled Panda to the Circle leaving enough room on the bottom of the circle for the Sentiment (I placed Sentiment before attaching my Panda). After placing your Sentiment and the Panda, at the top of the Circle punch 2 holes approximately 1" apart using the Crop-A-Dial II (make sure that you are only punching the front of the Card. Thread your Ribbon through and make a bow.
