Dog Show Results
Well, it was very interesting. I did get 1st place Saturday and Sunday in his age class. Only because he was the only one in his group both days. But didn't do anything when it came to who won each group going against each other. I understood Saturday, cause Pico was not on his game. Today he should have had it, but the dog behind him kept getting to close and he would turn around to see and why are you on my butt. Well that counts against him and he lost. The dog behind him won it. So it goes to show you that life sometimes kick or in this case sniffs you in the butt. LOL

IT"S HOTTTTTTT!!!!!!!
Yuk, it is only 7:30 am and it is already steaming outside. I can say that I am truely looking forward to Fall/Winter this year. I haven't seen rain in almost 4 months and I am ready. The people in Florida are getting tons of rain. Well I wish we could get a couple of those inches they have been getting. WE NEED IT! Well off to work, thank goodness it is a short day for me. I will be home and inside when the temp. get to 104 degrees. Hope everyone else is keeping cool.
Getting excited.......
Ok, tomorrow is the Gold Country Dog show in Grass Valley. I am praying for something good to come out of this. My baby Pico (Pretty Boy Von Newgate) looks really good. I am going to give him a nice grooming this evening and make him look nice and pray for a Point or 2 from this confirmation. My fingers are crossed and a little prayer for luck.

Dog Shows
Ok, I have an AKC registered Longhaired Dachshound. I have attended one dog show with him and boy what a new experience. I am doing confirmation classes. My puppy was in the 6 - 9 months class. I think the judges are not truely looking at the dogs as much as who the trainers/breeders/kennels are. I am just one, not a kennel/trainer/breeder so I don't fit the profile. I am just trying to get my puppy his Championship so I can breed him, so I can get one more puppy in a year or two. I was going to do the Obedience, but I am not sure that I want to fit into one of the CLICKS. I feel really out of place. I have another show this next weekend, and I am praying that it will be different, but I fear not. My puppy looks great, and does his part really well. I will post on here and say how it went. Here are a couple of pics from his last Dog Show.
